Role Overview

The Director will design Oman’s future-ready digital banking and open-finance ecosystem, integrating AI-driven decisioning, orchestrated financial data pipelines, secure API frameworks, and advanced user-experience modernization for retail, SME, and corporate financial environments.

Primary Responsibilities

Open-Finance Platform Engineering

• Build standardized, compliance-driven API frameworks enabling secure data portability, fintech collaboration, and multi-channel financial interoperability.

• Develop sandbox models and testing environments to accelerate market innovation and third-party integration readiness.

AI-Enhanced Digital Banking Intelligence

• Implement machine-learning engines for credit scoring, risk evaluation, fraud analytics, and personalized financial advisory experiences.

• Design predictive financial behavior models and automated customer-lifecycle management intelligence.

Digital Infrastructure Modernization

• Lead the migration from legacy banking systems to cloud-native, event-driven digital architectures.

• Establish governance models ensuring system resilience, cyber protection, data sovereignty, and operational continuity.

Candidate Profile

• 10+ years in open banking/finance, digital banking technology, or AI-enabled financial platform development.

• Deep expertise in cloud-native design, API security, AI governance, and digital financial infrastructure.

• Strong grasp of GCC digital banking regulatory frameworks.
