Director – Fintech Venture Building & Digital Financial Innovation (Bahrain)

Role Concept (Venture-Building Format)

This role is structured as a venture-building leadership position, where the Director will ideate, incubate, and scale multiple fintech products from concept to market readiness. Unlike traditional roles, this position operates within a portfolio innovation model, managing multiple fintech initiatives simultaneously.

The Director will function as a builder, strategist, and operator, combining entrepreneurial agility with institutional discipline to deliver scalable fintech ventures.

Innovation Lifecycle Responsibilities

Ideation & Opportunity Identification

• Identify high-potential fintech opportunities across payments, lending, wealthtech, and insurtech.

• Conduct feasibility studies, market validation, and competitive analysis.

Venture Design & Development

• Define product architecture, business models, and user experience frameworks.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop MVPs and scalable platforms.

Scaling & Commercialization

• Lead go-to-market strategies, user acquisition, and revenue generation initiatives.

• Establish operational frameworks for scaling fintech products across GCC markets.

Portfolio Management & Optimization

• Manage a portfolio of fintech ventures, optimizing resource allocation and performance metrics.

• Continuously evaluate and refine business models based on market feedback.

Candidate Requirements

• 10–15 years in fintech, venture building, startup leadership, or innovation strategy.

• Strong entrepreneurial mindset with experience launching and scaling digital products.

• Deep understanding of GCC fintech ecosystems and regulatory environments.

• Ability to operate across strategy, product, and execution layers simultaneously.
