Leadership Mandate
Lead the engineering organisation responsible for building, scaling and continuously improving sophisticated fintech products.
The Director will translate product strategy into a durable engineering roadmap, establish high-performance development practices and ensure that financial platforms remain scalable, secure and technically sustainable as transaction volumes and product complexity increase.
Principal Responsibilities

Define and execute the engineering strategy across fintech product portfolios.

Translate product priorities into technical roadmaps, architecture initiatives and delivery plans.

Lead engineering managers, principal engineers and multidisciplinary development teams.

Establish standards for software quality, testing, reliability and engineering productivity.

Oversee architecture decisions across APIs, microservices, data platforms and financial applications.

Establish engineering metrics covering delivery velocity, reliability, quality and operational performance.

Partner with product, security, data, finance and operations leadership.

Drive modernisation of legacy financial technology where required.

Develop technical talent through mentoring, succession planning and capability development.

Lead major engineering initiatives from architecture through production deployment.

Establish a culture of automation, observability and continuous technical improvement.
Executive Requirements

10+ years of software-engineering experience with substantial leadership responsibility.

Proven experience leading engineering teams within fintech, banking, payments or technology.

Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud architecture and modern software-development practices.

Experience managing complex product-engineering organisations.

Strong commercial awareness and ability to connect engineering investment to business outcomes.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.

Indicative Compensation: AED 50,000–70,000 per month + executive benefits.
