Position Overview
We are seeking an accomplished Director of Digital Finance Transformation & Intelligent Payments to lead sophisticated transformation initiatives across the rapidly evolving financial technology ecosystem in Qatar. This executive-level position is designed for a commercially astute fintech leader capable of connecting payment innovation, digital banking architecture, artificial intelligence, financial data and customer-centric technology into a coherent regional strategy.
The successful candidate will operate at the intersection of financial strategy, technology transformation, payment infrastructure and enterprise innovation, translating emerging technologies into scalable financial products and operating models.
Strategic Mandate
The Director will establish and execute a multi-year digital finance transformation agenda covering intelligent payment ecosystems, real-time transaction infrastructure, digital financial services, automation and next-generation customer journeys.
Key responsibilities will include:

Develop enterprise-wide strategies for digital payments and financial technology transformation.

Identify opportunities to modernize payment architecture, transaction processing and settlement capabilities.

Lead the integration of AI-driven decisioning, predictive analytics and intelligent automation into financial operations.

Develop strategic frameworks for embedded finance and digitally distributed financial services.

Evaluate emerging payment technologies and determine their commercial and operational viability.

Coordinate complex initiatives involving product, engineering, cybersecurity, data, finance and operations.

Establish performance frameworks using transaction volumes, authorization rates, customer conversion, cost-to-income metrics and operational efficiency indicators.

Lead strategic partnerships with technology providers, payment networks and financial infrastructure stakeholders.

Establish governance mechanisms for major digital-finance programs.

Translate regulatory, technological and market developments into actionable business strategies.

Sponsor enterprise-level initiatives involving API banking, real-time payments and digital customer platforms.
Leadership Profile
Candidates should demonstrate substantial experience leading complex fintech, banking or payments transformations, preferably within a multinational or highly regulated financial environment.
Preferred capabilities include:

12+ years of relevant professional experience.

Significant leadership experience in fintech, payments, banking technology or financial transformation.

Strong understanding of payment processing and digital financial infrastructure.

Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary technology teams.

Advanced commercial and strategic planning capabilities.

Strong knowledge of AI, data analytics and financial technology trends.

Excellent executive communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Ability to construct business cases using quantitative financial and operational analysis.
Success Measures
Performance will be assessed through measurable improvements in digital transaction growth, payment efficiency, product adoption, automation, customer experience, platform scalability and transformation-program delivery.
