Job Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Digital Wallet Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, integration, and support of digital wallet solutions, ensuring secure, seamless, and efficient transaction experiences for our users. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with an understanding of payment ecosystems and a passion for delivering reliable digital financial tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain digital wallet features, ensuring functionality, scalability, and security
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and compliance teams to integrate wallet services with payment gateways, banking APIs, and third-party providers
- Monitor wallet performance, transaction flows, and system uptime, troubleshooting issues as they arise
- Ensure digital wallet solutions comply with relevant data protection, security, and regulatory standards
- Conduct testing (unit, integration, and user acceptance) to validate new features and updates before deployment
- Analyze user behavior and transaction data to identify opportunities for feature enhancement and fraud prevention
- Support the onboarding of new payment methods, currencies, or wallet functionalities
- Document technical processes, workflows, and system architecture for internal reference
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and, where required, external partners
- Stay current with emerging trends in digital payments, wallet technology, and security protocols
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience working with digital wallets, payment systems, or financial technology platforms
- Demonstrated experience integrating APIs with banking systems, card networks, or payment processors
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements related to digital payments (e.g., KYC, AML, PCI-DSS)
- Experience working in cross-functional teams involving engineering, product, and compliance stakeholders
- Prior experience with fraud detection and transaction monitoring systems is a plus
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and API integration practices
- Experience with database management systems (SQL/NoSQL)
- Familiarity with encryption standards, tokenization, and secure authentication protocols (OAuth, 2FA/MFA)
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and microservices architecture
- Understanding of mobile wallet frameworks (e.g., Apple Pay, Google Pay integration standards)
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools for system performance tracking
