Digital wallets are evolving into multi-functional financial hubs, integrating payments, savings, lending, and lifestyle services. This role focuses on managing the entire lifecycle of a digital wallet product—from conceptualization to continuous optimization.
Lifecycle Ownership Breakdown
1. Ideation & Product Definition
- Identify market gaps and user needs within digital payments and wallet ecosystems
- Define product vision, features, and value propositions
- Develop detailed product requirement documents
2. Design & Development
- Collaborate with UX/UI teams to design intuitive wallet interfaces
- Work with engineering teams to build scalable and secure wallet functionalities
- Ensure seamless integration with payment gateways, banks, and third-party services
3. Launch & Go-To-Market
- Coordinate product launches across digital channels
- Develop user acquisition strategies and onboarding flows
- Monitor early-stage performance metrics and user feedback
4. Growth & Optimization
- Analyze user behavior to improve engagement and retention
- Introduce new features such as bill payments, peer-to-peer transfers, and rewards systems
- Optimize transaction flows to reduce friction and increase usage
5. Maturity & Scaling
- Expand wallet capabilities into adjacent financial services
- Enhance scalability to support growing user bases
- Continuously refine product strategy based on market evolution
Required Expertise
- Strong background in product management within fintech or digital banking
- Understanding of payment systems, APIs, and mobile financial services
- Experience with agile methodologies and product lifecycle management tools
- Ability to interpret data and translate insights into product improvements
Professional Experience
- 5–9 years in product management, fintech, or digital platforms
- Proven experience launching or scaling digital financial products
