Secure the Systems Powering Digital Finance
Financial technology depends on trust.
Every payment, account, API request, authentication event, and financial transaction must operate within a secure technology environment. We are seeking a highly capable Cybersecurity Engineer to help protect digital financial platforms against evolving cyber threats.
You will work across infrastructure, applications, cloud environments, networks, identity systems, and security operations, partnering closely with software engineers and technology leaders.
Your Responsibilities
1. Security Engineering
- Design and implement technical security controls.
- Strengthen application, infrastructure, network, and cloud security.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation.
- Review system architectures from a security perspective.
- Support secure configuration and hardening of critical infrastructure.
2. Threat Detection & Incident Response
- Monitor security events and investigate suspicious activity.
- Analyze security alerts and potential incidents.
- Support incident-response investigations.
- Assist in identifying the root cause of security incidents.
- Develop recommendations to prevent recurring vulnerabilities.
3. Application & API Security
- Review applications and APIs for security weaknesses.
- Support secure software-development practices.
- Conduct security testing throughout the development lifecycle.
- Work with development teams to address vulnerabilities.
- Promote secure authentication, authorization, encryption, and data-protection practices.
4. Cloud Security
- Support security across cloud environments.
- Monitor identity and access controls.
- Review cloud configurations for vulnerabilities.
- Assist with implementing security policies and controls.
- Contribute to cloud-security architecture and improvement initiatives.
5. Security Governance
- Maintain security documentation and technical standards.
- Support internal security assessments and audits.
- Contribute to security policies and procedures.
- Track vulnerabilities, incidents, and remediation activities.
- Stay informed about emerging threats affecting financial technology.
Technical Background
Strong candidates may have experience with:
- SIEM platforms
- Vulnerability-management tools
- EDR/XDR solutions
- Network security
- Application security
- Cloud security
- IAM
- Encryption
- Security monitoring
- Incident response
- OWASP principles
- Secure API development
Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Python, PowerShell, Linux, or security automation would be advantageous.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4+ years of professional cybersecurity experience.
- Practical experience securing applications, infrastructure, or cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of networking and information-security principles.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Strong communication skills.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP, Security+, or cloud-security certifications are advantageous.
