The role of Chief Remote Digital Payments Strategy Architect (UAE) provides strategic leadership and high-fidelity architectural governance for next-generation digital payments ecosystems across the UAE’s rapidly evolving fintech landscape. The position focuses on designing scalable multi-rail payment infrastructures, interoperable digital settlement systems, and intelligent transaction orchestration layers aligned with global ISO 20022, PCI-DSS, and cross-border regulatory expectations.
Key Responsibilities

Architect a unified digital payments framework integrating real-time payments, tokenized settlements, digital wallets, and advanced cross-border remittance rails.

Lead development of high-availability, cloud-native transaction systems using distributed microservices, event-driven architecture, and zero-downtime CI/CD pipelines.

Establish strategic alignment with UAE regulatory instruments, including Central Bank digital payment mandates, digital onboarding standards, AML/CFT guidelines, and eKYC protocols.

Direct the formulation of multi-level payment risk models, incorporating behavioral analytics, anomaly detection, and AI-driven fraud monitoring layers.

Develop end-to-end interoperability mechanisms for merchant payments, peer-to-peer transfers, digital identity systems, and institutional treasury flows.

Govern enterprise integration of API-first services, digital ledger infrastructures, and high-volume transaction gateways supporting billions of monthly payment events.

Build international-grade documentation, technical standards, and architectural blueprints for regional and cross-regional deployment.
Competencies & Technical Requirements

Expert-level proficiency in distributed systems engineering, payment orchestration, and cloud-native architecture (AWS/GCP/Azure).

Advanced understanding of UAE digital payments regulations, digital identity frameworks, and GCC fintech harmonization protocols.

Proven expertise with ISO 20022, EMV tokenization, Open Banking APIs, digital wallet cryptography, and multi-party settlement networks.

12+ years of senior fintech architecture experience, ideally across MENA, Europe, or Asia-Pacific financial markets.
