Role Overview
A rapidly evolving financial innovation environment in Dubai is seeking a highly accomplished Chief Platform & Ecosystem Officer – Digital Finance Infrastructure to lead the end-to-end design, governance, and scaling of an integrated financial ecosystem spanning payments, banking services, merchant infrastructure, embedded finance, and real-time transaction platforms.
This is a senior executive role for a fintech leader who understands how modern financial ecosystems are no longer isolated systems but interconnected platforms powered by APIs, cloud infrastructure, data intelligence, and regulatory-grade security frameworks. The successful candidate will be responsible for building a unified financial platform capable of serving consumers, SMEs, enterprises, and institutional clients across multiple geographies.
The role sits at the intersection of technology architecture, financial product strategy, ecosystem partnerships, and regulatory alignment, requiring both deep technical understanding and board-level strategic influence.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute enterprise platform strategy across digital banking, payments, lending infrastructure, and embedded finance ecosystems
- Architect a scalable financial ecosystem integrating core banking systems, APIs, payment gateways, merchant platforms, and data intelligence layers
- Lead modernization of transaction infrastructure including real-time payments, wallet systems, acquiring platforms, and treasury-linked services
- Drive ecosystem expansion through partnerships with banks, fintechs, regulators, payment schemes, and technology providers
- Establish governance frameworks for platform security, resilience, compliance, and operational integrity
- Oversee monetization strategy for ecosystem services including API usage, transaction flows, embedded finance products, and platform services
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies and compliance teams to ensure full alignment with UAE Central Bank requirements and global financial standards
- Lead enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives across multiple product and technology domains
- Develop executive dashboards for platform performance, ecosystem growth, and financial KPIs
- Mentor senior leadership teams across engineering, product, operations, and financial strategy functions
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Financial Technology, Engineering, or related discipline
- MBA or executive leadership qualification strongly preferred
- 12+ years of senior leadership experience in fintech, digital banking, platform architecture, or financial systems transformation
- Strong expertise in API ecosystems, cloud-native architecture, payment infrastructure, and enterprise financial systems
- Deep understanding of GCC regulatory frameworks and financial governance models
- Proven experience leading large-scale platform or ecosystem transformation programs
- Strong executive communication and board-level leadership capability
- Demonstrated commercial success in scaling financial platforms
