Role Overview
The UAE is positioned as a global leader in payments innovation, and this role seeks a visionary strategist to drive forward cross-border interoperability, digital wallets, and CBDC integration. The Remote Chief Payments Innovation Strategist will define and implement payment ecosystems that cater to retail, wholesale, and institutional markets.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the design of multi-rail digital payment infrastructures, encompassing instant payments, tokenized assets, and blockchain settlement.

Shape UAE’s roadmap for CBDC deployment and adoption, ensuring seamless interoperability with international systems.

Spearhead development of AI-driven fraud detection, AML solutions, and cybersecurity protocols.

Partner with regulators, payment processors, and fintech startups to enable regulatory-aligned innovation.

Architect global remittance frameworks tailored to UAE’s role as a cross-border hub.

Drive scalability of mobile-first, customer-centric payment solutions across the GCC.
Qualifications

Master’s degree in Economics, Financial Engineering, or Digital Innovation.

12+ years’ experience in digital payments, fintech strategy, and technology integration.

Expertise in CBDCs, blockchain settlements, instant payments, and tokenization.

Deep understanding of Central Bank of the UAE regulations and global standards.

Demonstrated ability to lead remote international fintech teams.
