Format: Strategic Leadership & Infrastructure Blueprint Role
Role Mandate
This role exists at the intersection of national-scale payments infrastructure, digital finance architecture, and future-state financial systems design. The Chief Fintech Infrastructure & Payments Architecture Strategist is responsible for conceptualizing, governing, and continuously refining large-scale fintech and payment ecosystems that operate across borders, currencies, and regulatory environments.
Operating fully remotely, this role is strategically anchored to Qatar due to its rapidly evolving financial technology landscape and regional connectivity.
Strategic Responsibilities

Design end-to-end digital payments and settlement architectures, including real-time payment rails, cross-border clearing mechanisms, and next-generation digital transaction frameworks.

Define infrastructure principles governing scalability, resilience, latency, security, and interoperability across fintech ecosystems.

Develop long-range infrastructure roadmaps (3–7 years) aligned with global fintech evolution and regional regulatory maturity.

Produce technical-strategic documentation covering system topology, data flows, failover logic, and infrastructure governance.

Evaluate emerging technologies such as distributed ledger settlement layers, AI-powered transaction optimization, and programmable financial infrastructure.

Act as the final authority on architecture trade-offs, risk tolerance, and systemic resilience.
Operating Scope

Works upstream of engineering execution and downstream of financial policy interpretation.

Interfaces conceptually with regulators, central payment authorities, and global fintech infrastructure standards.

Success is measured by architectural clarity, future-proofing, and systemic robustness, not daily operations.
Professional Profile

15+ years in fintech infrastructure, payments architecture, or financial systems engineering.

Demonstrated expertise in real-time payments, cross-border settlements, and digital financial infrastructure.

Exceptional ability to translate complex systems into clear architectural models and strategic narratives.

Proven success in high-autonomy, remote-first senior roles.
