Role Overview

This executive role shapes and governs Saudi Arabia’s next-generation digital payments architecture, ensuring systemic resilience, cross-platform compatibility, and advanced financial intelligence across all transaction layers. The Executive Director will architect high-performance multi-rail ecosystems, coordinate real-time processing frameworks, and design operational models aligned with Saudi Arabia’s fast-expanding fintech and digital commerce sectors. The position requires mastery in transaction topology, cross-border settlement logic, regulatory technology alignment, and scalable digital payments engineering.

Core Responsibilities

• Define national-grade digital payments architecture integrating instant payments, alternative rails, tokenized identity verification, and secure interoperable APIs.

• Engineer multi-layer real-time processing systems with dynamic routing, high-volume concurrency handling, and redundancy-based operational assurance.

• Lead strategic development of cross-border settlement systems incorporating ISO 20022 messaging structures, liquidity optimization, and systemic risk containment.

• Integrate AI-driven fraud intelligence engines, adaptive authorization models, and behavioral risk pattern analytics.

• Oversee high-scale cloud-native payment infrastructure ensuring ultra-low latency, automated failover, and multi-jurisdiction continuity.

• Ensure compliance with Saudi regulatory initiatives through continuous system governance, audit alignment, and policy-driven architectural adaptation.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in digital payments architecture, financial infrastructure engineering, or technology-driven payment transformation.

• Deep knowledge of instant payment rails, high-volume switching systems, and ISO 20022 protocols.

• Proven experience leading enterprise-scale platform modernization within fintech or digital commerce ecosystems.

Preferred Competencies

• Background in real-time fraud orchestration, authorization intelligence, or multi-rail routing optimization.

• Experience designing geographically distributed transaction systems.
