Role Overview
Oman is under-served in the Islamic WealthTech revolution. This position builds and deploys the nation’s first AI-native, retail-oriented Halal Investment Curation Engine—a digital system that helps Muslim investors across GCC and Southeast Asia instantly filter global investment opportunities for Shariah, sustainability, and ethical alignment using real-time data.
Strategic Objectives

Engineer an AI-powered Halal asset classification engine that screens equities, REITs, ETFs, and Sukuk globally using Shariah compliance rules (debt ratios, interest income, prohibited activities).

Build explainable AI tools (XAI) that allow investors to see why an asset qualifies or fails Shariah screening in both quantitative and qualitative dimensions.

Partner with Omani Shariah scholars to build multilingual investment filters, including unique ethical overlays such as local job creation, ESG, and family legacy compatibility.

Launch an AI-curated “Halal Investment Scorecard” for each asset class and provide portfolio optimization advice through gamified Islamic finance education modules.

Integrate API connections with Oman’s sovereign funds, real estate tokenization hubs, and emerging local DeFi ecosystems.

Build dynamic dashboards for regional banks, Takaful providers, and Islamic robo-advisors to offer Halal-curated portfolios with fully auditable logic chains.

Ensure AI logic and investment categories align with IFSB, AAOIFI, and Oman’s Capital Market Authority (CMA) guidelines.
Candidate Requirements

10+ years in AI/ML engineering, Islamic investment analytics, or fintech wealth platforms.

Proven experience building classification algorithms or real-time filtering engines in high-regulation sectors.

Expertise in Islamic financial jurisprudence (fiqh al-muamalat) and its quantitative translation into asset filters.

Working knowledge of Omani Shariah board expectations, fintech regulations, and capital market workflows.

Fluency in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, NLP classification, and Web3 wallet integrations preferred.
