Position Overview
The Chief Digital Payments Transformation Officer will lead Saudi Arabia’s advancement into a fully digital, interoperable payments ecosystem. This role requires deep technical fluency in multi-rail payment infrastructure, blockchain integration, and AI-driven financial data orchestration. The successful candidate will architect cross-border systems that modernize payments and accelerate the Kingdom’s transition toward a frictionless, intelligent financial landscape aligned with emerging global standards.
Key Responsibilities

Design and deploy scalable, real-time digital payment infrastructures integrating ISO 20022 protocols and AI-based reconciliation.

Oversee next-generation e-wallet ecosystems and cross-border remittance gateways utilizing blockchain interoperability frameworks.

Develop multi-rail payment networks connecting card, QR, instant, and account-to-account (A2A) systems.

Architect centralized fraud detection and digital trust infrastructures based on machine learning analytics.

Partner with regulators and financial institutions to establish unified API frameworks supporting Open Finance initiatives.

Drive adoption of AI-based financial intelligence for payments efficiency, liquidity management, and predictive insights.

Define risk governance frameworks across digital payments, cybersecurity, and digital identity layers.
Qualifications & Experience

Master’s degree in Financial Engineering, Information Systems, or Computer Science.

12+ years’ experience in digital payments transformation or banking infrastructure modernization.

Expert understanding of ISO 20022, real-time payments, and Open Banking frameworks.

Strong background in blockchain-based settlement, AI risk analytics, and data governance.

Proven ability to manage large-scale fintech transformation projects across multiple jurisdictions.
