Position Overview

The Remote Chief Digital Payments Systems Architect will lead the design, modernization, and optimization of UAE-aligned digital payment infrastructures, including instant settlement rails, multi-rail gateway orchestration, advanced fraud-intelligence engines, and API-first financial integration frameworks. This role requires mastery of payment-core engineering, interoperable financial networks, digital-identity ecosystems, AML automation systems, and AI-enhanced transaction intelligence to ensure global-compliant digital payment solutions.

Core Responsibilities

1. Payment Infrastructure Architecture & Engineering

• Architect next-generation payment platforms integrating real-time settlements, card-scheme interoperability, ISO 20022 compliance layers, and programmable payment logic.

• Build scalable multi-tenant digital payment ecosystems with emphasis on latency minimization, resilience engineering, microservice orchestration, and high-volume processing capability.

• Design advanced payment-routing engines leveraging machine intelligence, dynamic risk filters, and adaptive rules management frameworks.

2. Compliance, Governance & Regulatory Mapping

• Operationalize UAE’s digital-payments and open-finance regulations into technical governance layers, automated AML/CTF monitoring systems, and real-time data-sovereignty controls.

• Implement global best practices in fraud prevention, audit readiness, transaction certification, and machine-driven anomaly detection.

3. Strategic Innovation & Architecture Leadership

• Lead R&D initiatives across tokenized payments, biometric authentication flows, digital wallet evolution, and AI-based authorization engines.

• Ensure system scalability for integration with cross-border GCC–global financial corridors.

Required Expertise

• 12+ years in digital payments, financial-systems engineering, or financial infrastructure architecture.

• Proven command of real-time payment system design, ISO 20022 migration, open banking frameworks, and cloud-native financial platforms.

• Strong technical fluency across API ecosystems, cryptographic security, AI-enhanced fraud systems, and regulatory automation.
