Position Overview

Saudi Arabia is entering a significant phase of digital finance acceleration, defined by the rapid evolution of instant payment rails, cloud-native settlement ecosystems, and AI-orchestrated financial connectivity. This role is designed for a senior visionary capable of defining the end-to-end digital payments architecture that strengthens national payment resilience, enhances multi-rail interoperability, and drives next-generation merchant and consumer transaction experiences.

The successful candidate will architect scalable, high-fidelity payment platforms that integrate seamlessly with enterprise systems, fintechs, global payment schemes, and advanced AI-driven security modules. This is a remote-based executive role requiring mastery of large-scale payments engineering, regulatory system alignment, and algorithmic fraud intelligence ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural definition of Saudi-aligned digital payments ecosystems, including ISO 20022 modernization, multi-rail infrastructure mapping, and adaptive liquidity orchestration models.

• Engineer high-availability, low-latency payment gateways supporting exponential transaction growth and complex merchant-acquirer flows.

• Oversee AI-powered fraud detection environments combining behavior analytics, anomaly pattern detection, and real-time transaction scoring.

• Develop architectural policies for payment switch modernization, tokenized transaction routing, and cross-institution connectivity.

• Collaborate with industry stakeholders to align technical frameworks with evolving Saudi digital finance standards.

• Construct governance systems ensuring compliance, data integrity, operational transparency, and cross-border readiness.

Required Experience

• 10–15+ years in digital payments infrastructure, fintech engineering, or enterprise-scale financial technology transformation.

• Proven architecture leadership in real-time payments, transaction orchestration, tokenization frameworks, and high-volume financial systems.

• Deep fluency in microservices architecture, distributed systems, event streaming, and real-time monitoring.

• Strong knowledge of Saudi Arabia’s digital finance ecosystem and regulatory expectations.

Preferred Competencies

• Advanced experience integrating AI agents into fraud intelligence ecosystems.

• Ability to create enterprise-scale architectural roadmaps for multi-year transformation programs.

• Exceptional communication and technical governance skills.
