Role Overview

The Chief Digital Payments Architect will lead Saudi Arabia’s strategic shift toward advanced, cashless payment ecosystems. The role demands a leader with deep expertise in real-time settlement infrastructures, cross-border interoperability, and tokenized payment solutions capable of scaling across retail, SME, and institutional markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement Saudi Arabia’s national-level digital payments framework.

• Drive integration of ISO 20022-based systems, CBDC pilots, and instant settlement platforms.

• Lead adoption of AI-driven fraud detection, biometric authentication, and advanced transaction monitoring.

• Develop partnerships with regulators, fintech startups, and global financial institutions to align with international best practices.

• Ensure resilience, inclusion, and security in all digital payment deployments.

Candidate Profile

• 12–15 years of senior leadership in payments, fintech, or digital banking.

• Advanced knowledge of blockchain-based settlement systems and AI-driven payment innovations.

• Strong academic background in Finance, Economics, or Computer Science.

• Proven experience building interoperable financial infrastructures in regulated markets.
