Role Synopsis
The Chief Blockchain & Digital Payment Systems Architect will define, design, and deploy enterprise-grade blockchain-based payment infrastructures for Kuwait’s rapidly transforming financial ecosystem. This executive leadership role demands an advanced understanding of distributed systems, cryptographic governance, and high-throughput payment technologies that support digital economy acceleration and interoperability across the GCC.
Primary Accountabilities

Blockchain Infrastructure Leadership: Architect and oversee blockchain-based digital payment networks optimized for scalability, interoperability, and settlement efficiency.

Cross-Border Payments Engineering: Develop AI-enhanced transaction verification frameworks supporting real-time, low-latency cross-border remittance flows.

Regulatory Framework Alignment: Work with regulatory and compliance stakeholders to ensure payment infrastructures align with Kuwait Central Bank and GCC cross-border fintech standards.

Smart Contract Governance: Establish auditing mechanisms, validation layers, and security protocols ensuring full lifecycle integrity of programmable financial contracts.

DeFi Integration Strategy: Oversee the incorporation of decentralized financial technologies into compliant financial ecosystems for B2B, B2C, and G2C payment solutions.

Platform Modernization: Drive the evolution of payment orchestration systems through hybrid cloud-native and DLT-based architectures, ensuring future readiness.
Technical and Leadership Requirements

10+ years in blockchain architecture, fintech infrastructure, or digital payments design.

Proven experience in Layer 1 and Layer 2 blockchain protocol development and financial-grade consensus mechanisms.

Strong proficiency in cryptographic design, distributed consensus, and AI-based anomaly detection in transaction systems.

Master’s degree in Blockchain Engineering, Fintech Systems, or Computer Science with specialization in financial technologies.

Deep awareness of Kuwait’s digital finance modernization initiatives and regional innovation regulatory sandboxes.
