Role Overview

This executive position leads the architectural direction of Qatar’s next-generation real-time financial infrastructure. The role focuses on engineering high-throughput transaction networks, open finance connectivity layers, and multi-rail interoperability models capable of supporting Qatar’s aggressive financial digitization roadmap. The Chief Architect will design national-scale financial integration frameworks, define operational governance structures, and implement technology standards that accelerate the scalability, resilience, and intelligence of Qatar’s financial ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect multi-rail real-time financial systems integrating instant payments, open finance APIs, account-to-account transfers, and data streaming engines.

• Establish open finance interoperability models ensuring secure, standardized data movement across financial institutions and digital platforms.

• Lead design of distributed settlement structures incorporating liquidity intelligence, automated reconciliation layers, and failover-driven operational continuity.

• Integrate advanced authentication frameworks including risk-weighted identity scoring, behavioral biometrics, and digital credentialing.

• Implement governance frameworks covering operational risk, system reliability, technology assurance, and regulatory alignment.

• Drive cross-institution collaboration for national financial modernization programs.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in payment infrastructure architecture, open finance system integration, or multi-rail financial networks.

• Strong mastery of ISO 20022 messages, event-driven architecture, and real-time systems engineering.

• Proven leadership in national-scale or multi-institution digital finance transformation.

Preferred Competencies

• Experience with advanced financial streaming engines, liquidity simulation models, or data interoperability frameworks.

• Deep understanding of GCC financial modernization initiatives.
