Strategic Role Overview:
The Chief Architect of Digital Payments Infrastructure, Clearing Systems & Platform Resilience is a senior, internationally benchmarked fintech leadership role responsible for the end-to-end design, evolution, and resilience of large-scale digital payments ecosystems serving Saudi Arabia and interconnected GCC corridors.
This role operates at the deepest layers of fintech infrastructure, encompassing real-time payment rails, settlement orchestration, transaction routing, high-availability systems, and systemic risk mitigation. The mandate is to ensure that payments platforms are engineered for extreme scale, regulatory scrutiny, and continuous operational integrity.
The role is fully remote and requires executive-level engagement with regulators, central systems specialists, cybersecurity leaders, and senior digital finance stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:

Architect and govern national-scale and cross-border digital payments infrastructures.

Define clearing and settlement models optimised for speed, reliability, and systemic stability.

Establish resilience frameworks covering redundancy, disaster recovery, and real-time monitoring.

Lead the integration of advanced fraud detection, transaction intelligence, and observability tooling.

Define executive KPIs for availability, latency, throughput, and operational risk exposure.

Oversee infrastructure evolution to support future transaction volumes and product innovation.

Serve as principal authority on payments architecture and platform resilience strategy.
Professional Profile:

16+ years’ experience in payments infrastructure, financial systems architecture, or large-scale transaction platforms.

Deep technical mastery of clearing systems, settlement engines, and real-time processing architectures.

Strong familiarity with Saudi Arabian and GCC fintech regulatory environments.

Proven executive leadership in mission-critical, remote technology roles.

Advanced qualifications in Engineering, Computer Science, or Financial Systems Architecture preferred.
