Role Narrative

This executive-level remote role is for a senior technologist capable of engineering a unified, nation-scale digital payments ecosystem that enhances Saudi Arabia’s trajectory toward a globally recognized, real-time, interoperable financial infrastructure. The Chief Architect will orchestrate end-to-end modernization across domestic rails, merchant architecture, cross-border clearing, digital identity ecosystems, and AI-powered fraud control. The position demands exceptional mastery of multi-layered infrastructure strategy, algorithmic system design, and regulatory-aligned digital transformation.

Strategic Responsibilities

• Macro-Architecture Ownership: Design the structural blueprint for advanced transaction systems integrating RTP frameworks, blockchain-enabled settlement hubs, and tokenized liquidity channels.

• Cross-Border Interoperability Engineering: Develop modular interoperability mechanisms aligned with ISO 20022, multi-corridor remittance optimization, smart-routing settlement logic, and anti-fragmentation data models.

• Merchant & Treasury Digitization: Architect comprehensive merchant acceptance layers, real-time liquidity engines, integrated POS data environments, and automated treasury synchronization modules.

• AI-Centric Fraud & Risk Systems: Deploy real-time intelligence models including anomaly-mapping, behavioral-signature profiling, predictive fraud graphing, and regulatory-adaptive control grids.

• National Strategy Alignment: Ensure all infrastructure aligns with Saudi Arabia’s digital-economy acceleration objectives, financial inclusion pillars, and global competitiveness ambitions.

Qualifications & Technical Competencies

• 12+ years in digital payments architecture, transaction-systems engineering, or high-velocity fintech infrastructure.

• Mastery of real-time clearing, blockchain interoperability, data-intensive system scaling, and compliance automation.

• Strong understanding of GCC financial frameworks, payment policy evolution, and regional harmonization.

• Proven capability to lead multi-specialist engineering teams within fully remote, multi-time-zone environments.
