Role Overview

This executive mandate drives the architectural vision of Kuwait’s next-generation digital payment ecosystem. The Chief Architect will build multi-rail, intelligence-driven payment frameworks capable of real-time clearing, automated liquidity convergence, high-security authentication, and dynamic compliance enforcement.

Responsibilities

Digital Payment Infrastructure Engineering

• Architect a unified, cloud-native payment infrastructure supporting instant payments, merchant acquiring, digital wallets, and cross-border corridors.

• Engineer smart-routing engines that optimize costs, speed, and compliance across domestic and global payment pathways.

• Deploy programmable payment logic enabling automated settlement, conditional transactions, and multi-stakeholder disbursement workflows.

Risk, Compliance & Operational Assurance

• Develop real-time compliance orchestration integrating AML intelligence, sanctions screening, and fraud signal analytics.

• Establish high-assurance operational frameworks for uptime, fault isolation, and proactive risk scoring.

Ecosystem & Interoperability Design

• Define cross-platform interoperability with banks, fintech participants, telecom operators, and government digital channels.

• Build open, secure APIs enabling platform-wide integration with financial and non-financial use cases.

Candidate Profile

• 12+ years in payments architecture, settlement systems engineering, or intelligent transaction-routing technologies.

• Fluency in ISO 20022, EMV, open-finance APIs, liquidity optimization, and dynamic compliance.

• Extensive experience designing scalable payment ecosystems in regulated markets.
