Role Overview
This position is designed for a fintech systems architect responsible for re-engineering the core foundations of digital financial institutions. The mandate focuses on cloud-native banking architecture, modular ledger systems, and event-driven financial processing, enabling financial platforms to operate with extreme flexibility, speed, and resilience.
The role is deeply technical yet strategic—bridging core financial logic, infrastructure modernization, and future-ready system design.
Key Responsibilities

Architect next-generation fintech core systems, including modular ledgers and real-time financial processing engines.

Design event-driven architectures for payments, balances, reconciliation, and settlement.

Lead migration strategies from monolithic cores to microservices-based financial platforms.

Define data consistency, integrity, and auditability models across distributed systems.

Ensure platform readiness for high-volume transactions, instant settlement, and continuous availability.

Govern system-level security, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery frameworks.

Collaborate with product, risk, and regulatory stakeholders to align infrastructure with business objectives.

Evaluate emerging technologies shaping the future of core fintech systems.
Candidate Requirements

14+ years in fintech systems architecture, core banking engineering, or financial infrastructure.

Deep expertise in ledger design, financial data models, and transaction processing.

Strong command of cloud-native technologies, containerization, and distributed systems.

Experience designing systems for regulatory-grade auditability and scalability.

Ability to operate at both architectural and hands-on technical depth.
Compensation Structure (Annual)

Base Salary: OMR 85,000 – 110,000

Infrastructure Excellence Bonus: OMR 20,000 – 35,000

Long-Term Architecture Incentive: OMR 25,000 – 45,000

Total Annual Package: OMR 130,000 – 190,000
