Position Overview

Bahrain is positioning itself as a regional hub for blockchain finance and digital asset platforms. The Chief Architect – Blockchain Finance & Digital Asset Platforms will lead the design, development, and deployment of secure, scalable distributed ledger systems, enabling decentralized finance, tokenized investments, and programmable financial agreements.

This remote role focuses on architecture, security, regulatory alignment, and integration, ensuring blockchain-based financial platforms are resilient, compliant, and globally interoperable.

Key Responsibilities

Blockchain Infrastructure Design

• Architect enterprise-grade distributed ledger platforms capable of supporting institutional and retail digital asset operations.

• Develop smart contract frameworks for programmable financial agreements and tokenized assets.

• Integrate blockchain systems with traditional banking and payment networks.

Digital Asset Platform Leadership

• Oversee the creation of digital asset exchanges, DeFi applications, and tokenized investment platforms.

• Ensure secure interoperability between blockchain networks and conventional fintech platforms.

• Implement custody, transaction monitoring, and auditing frameworks for digital assets.

Regulatory & Security Compliance

• Align platforms with Central Bank of Bahrain regulations and international digital asset standards.

• Implement advanced cybersecurity protocols and operational risk frameworks.

• Ensure systems maintain transparency, auditability, and resilience.

Candidate Profile

Education: Advanced degree in Blockchain Engineering, Financial Technology, Financial Cryptography, or Computer Science

Experience: 10–15 years in blockchain infrastructure, fintech architecture, or digital asset platforms

Skills:

• Expertise in distributed ledger technologies and smart contract development

• Knowledge of digital asset custody, secure transactions, and blockchain integration

• Proven ability to deliver scalable, resilient, and compliant blockchain financial systems

Strategic Outcome

The Chief Architect will establish Bahrain’s next-generation blockchain finance infrastructure, enabling secure, scalable, and globally integrated digital asset and decentralized finance ecosystems across the GCC.
