Position Overview

Bahrain is rapidly advancing as a regional blockchain and digital asset hub. The Chief Architect – Blockchain Finance & Digital Asset Platforms will design, oversee, and implement secure, scalable distributed ledger systems, supporting decentralized finance (DeFi), tokenized investments, and programmable financial instruments.

This remote role emphasizes architecture, regulatory alignment, cybersecurity, and integration with conventional financial systems, ensuring digital asset platforms are resilient, compliant, and globally interoperable.

Responsibilities

Blockchain Infrastructure

• Architect enterprise-grade blockchain systems for institutional digital asset operations.

• Develop smart contract frameworks for secure, programmable financial agreements.

• Integrate blockchain infrastructures with legacy banking systems and cross-border payment networks.

Digital Asset Platforms

• Lead the design of digital asset exchanges, tokenized securities platforms, and DeFi applications.

• Ensure interoperability with traditional financial infrastructure and fintech platforms.

• Implement digital asset custody, transaction monitoring, and auditing systems.

Regulatory Alignment & Security

• Comply with local and international standards:

  • Central Bank of Bahrain

  • Financial Stability Board

• Establish robust cybersecurity protocols for digital assets, smart contracts, and distributed ledger systems.

Candidate Profile

Education: Advanced degree in Blockchain Engineering, Financial Technology, Financial Cryptography, or Computer Science

Experience: 10–15 years in blockchain system architecture, fintech infrastructure, or digital asset platforms

Skills:

• Distributed ledger technologies and blockchain scalability

• Smart contract development and auditing

• Digital asset custody and secure transaction frameworks

• Integration with traditional banking and digital payment systems

Strategic Outcome

The Chief Architect will define Bahrain’s next-generation blockchain financial infrastructure, enabling secure, scalable, and globally integrated digital finance ecosystems across the GCC.
