Role Overview

Bahrain is advancing rapidly as a regional hub for blockchain finance and digital asset innovation. The Chief Architect – Blockchain & Digital Asset Finance Systems will design, oversee, and implement secure, scalable blockchain platforms that enable decentralized financial services, tokenized investments, and programmable financial instruments.

This remote executive role focuses on distributed ledger architecture, smart contract security, digital asset custody, and regulatory compliance, ensuring that blockchain-based financial systems are robust, interoperable, and globally competitive.

Key Responsibilities

Blockchain Financial Infrastructure

• Architect distributed ledger systems capable of supporting institutional-scale digital asset transactions.

• Design and implement smart contract frameworks for secure, auditable programmable financial agreements.

• Integrate blockchain infrastructures with traditional banking and payment systems.

Digital Asset Platforms

• Lead design and deployment of digital asset exchanges, tokenized investment platforms, and decentralized finance applications.

• Ensure interoperability between blockchain systems and conventional financial infrastructure.

• Develop frameworks for digital asset custody, transaction monitoring, and asset provenance.

Regulatory Alignment & Security

• Ensure compliance with:

  • Central Bank of Bahrain

  • Financial Stability Board

• Implement advanced cybersecurity protocols for digital asset security, data integrity, and financial transaction auditing.

Candidate Profile

Education: Advanced degree in Blockchain Engineering, Computer Science, Financial Cryptography, or Financial Technology.

Experience: 10–15 years in blockchain system architecture, fintech infrastructure, or digital asset platforms.

Technical Expertise:

• Distributed ledger technologies and blockchain scalability

• Smart contract deployment and auditing

• Digital asset custody and security

• Integration with traditional banking and fintech platforms

Strategic Outcome

The Chief Architect will establish Bahrain’s next-generation blockchain and digital asset infrastructure, enabling secure, scalable, and globally integrated decentralized financial systems across the GCC.
