About the Opportunity
Join a high-performing engineering division responsible for building the digital backbone of next-generation banking services across the Gulf region. As a Backend Engineer, you will design enterprise-grade financial platforms that prioritize security, scalability, and operational excellence.
This position offers the opportunity to influence architecture decisions, modernize legacy banking systems, and deliver cloud-native services supporting payment processing, customer onboarding, and financial data exchange.
Key Accountabilities
- Engineer resilient backend services for financial applications.
- Design and maintain scalable API ecosystems.
- Develop high-throughput transaction processing components.
- Implement secure identity and access management features.
- Create data synchronization and reconciliation workflows.
- Optimize application performance under heavy workloads.
- Automate testing and deployment pipelines.
- Ensure compliance with financial security standards.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement permanent fixes.
- Document technical designs and engineering standards.
- Mentor junior developers and promote engineering best practices.
- Work closely with architects, product managers, and QA teams.
Essential Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of backend engineering experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Go, or .NET.
- Strong SQL and database optimization skills.
- Experience with message brokers and asynchronous processing.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure.
- Knowledge of container orchestration platforms.
- Experience implementing secure APIs.
- Understanding of software design patterns.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
