Role Overview

This role focuses on building backend systems that power digital banking platforms, including account services, transaction processing, and API ecosystems.

You will contribute to developing scalable, secure, and API-driven backend services that enable seamless financial experiences across applications.

Primary Responsibilities

Backend Development

• Develop and maintain backend services for digital banking applications.
• Build RESTful APIs for account management, payments, and financial services.
• Ensure high availability and reliability of backend systems.

API Platform Engineering

• Design and manage API gateways and service integrations.
• Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT).
• Maintain API versioning and documentation standards.

Core Banking Integration

• Build middleware connecting frontend applications with core banking systems.
• Handle data transformation and synchronization between systems.
• Ensure consistency and accuracy of financial data.

Scalability & Performance

• Optimize backend systems for scalability and performance.
• Implement caching and database optimization strategies.
• Monitor system health and resolve performance issues.

Security & Compliance

• Ensure secure handling of financial data.
• Implement encryption and secure API practices.
• Align systems with regulatory and compliance requirements.

Technical Environment

• Languages: Python, Java, Node.js
• Frameworks: Spring Boot, Django, Express
• Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL
• Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure
• Tools: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines

Qualifications

• 4–8+ years of backend development experience
• Experience building scalable web applications
• Familiarity with API design and system integration
• Fintech or banking experience is a plus
