Architecture Mandate
We are seeking a distinguished Architect to design the technology foundations connecting banks, fintech platforms, merchants and third-party financial applications through modern financial APIs.
This role is focused on building an interoperable financial ecosystem in which secure APIs, event-driven services and standardized interfaces enable financial products to be embedded into a broad range of digital experiences.
Core Responsibilities

Define enterprise architecture for open-finance and API-driven financial services.

Design scalable API ecosystems connecting banks, fintechs and enterprise platforms.

Establish standards for authentication, authorization and secure data exchange.

Develop reference architectures for microservices and event-driven financial systems.

Design integration frameworks for account, payment and financial-data services.
-
Evaluate API performance, reliability, security and scalability.
-
Establish API lifecycle-management standards.
-
Collaborate with product, engineering, cybersecurity and data teams.
-
Develop architecture roadmaps for legacy-system modernization.
-
Evaluate third-party financial platforms and integration capabilities.
-
Define resilience requirements for mission-critical financial APIs.

Lead technical architecture reviews and design governance.

Support strategic initiatives involving embedded finance and digital financial infrastructure.
Required Experience
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related discipline.

8+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, fintech, banking technology or API platforms.

Strong knowledge of REST, event-driven architecture, microservices and cloud platforms.

Experience designing secure financial integrations.

Strong understanding of API gateways, identity management and distributed systems.

Experience with payment or banking platforms is strongly preferred.

Excellent technical leadership and stakeholder-management capabilities.
