Position Summary:
An ambitious fintech infrastructure provider focused on API banking, merchant enablement, and embedded payments is seeking a Remote API Product Manager to lead the lifecycle of key API products—ranging from KYC-as-a-Service to Payment Orchestration and Wallet APIs. This strategic role requires deep understanding of product design, developer experience, and the technical nuances of Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) within the Omani financial ecosystem.
This remote opportunity is ideal for professionals experienced in building APIs that scale across fintech platforms, developer portals, and third-party integrations.
Responsibilities:

Own the end-to-end product strategy, roadmap, and delivery for the API suite targeting fintech startups, payment providers, and banks.

Collaborate with engineering teams to define API specifications, authentication protocols, and data schemas.

Define metrics for developer adoption, integration time, and API reliability (uptime, latency, error rates).

Launch and maintain sandbox environments, SDKs, and technical documentation.

Engage with developer and client feedback loops to refine usability, documentation, and onboarding.

Monitor regulatory changes from the Central Bank of Oman and ensure APIs remain compliant.

Interface with legal, compliance, and DevSecOps to address data security, access control, and auditability.
Minimum Requirements:

5+ years of experience in product management with at least 2 years focused on APIs or developer platforms.

Deep understanding of RESTful API design, JSON schema, OAuth2, and event-driven architectures.

Experience working in agile development environments using JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools.

Proven ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders in fast-paced environments.

Strong grasp of fintech architecture in GCC markets, preferably Oman.
Preferred Experience:

Prior work with ISO 20022, instant payment schemes, or Open Banking APIs.

Developer advocacy background or exposure to developer communities.

Basic understanding of Omani fintech regulation, BaaS licensing, and local payment rails.

Remote across GCC with bi-weekly sprint reviews and roadmap check-ins.
