Strategic Mandate

You are appointed to lead the end-to-end transformation and scaling of digital payments and financial platforms, ensuring that all systems—acquiring, issuing, wallets, and transfers—operate as a unified, high-performance ecosystem.

This role is not limited to oversight; it is a directive leadership position, responsible for aligning technology, operations, and commercial outcomes into a cohesive payments strategy.


Primary Directives

Unification of Payments Infrastructure

  • Consolidate disparate payment channels into a single interoperable ecosystem

  • Ensure seamless integration between card networks, account-based transfers, and digital wallets

  • Deliver real-time processing capabilities across all transaction types

Platform Performance & Scalability

  • Guarantee system resilience under high transaction loads

  • Optimize routing, settlement timing, and cost structures

  • Enable cross-border payment capabilities with minimal friction

Commercial Enablement

  • Align payment systems with revenue generation strategies

  • Expand merchant adoption and transaction volumes

  • Introduce value-added services (analytics, reporting, embedded payments)


Operating Structure

  • Works across product, engineering, operations, and finance

  • Leads payment strategy while ensuring execution discipline

  • Interfaces directly with regulatory and compliance functions


Regulatory Alignment

All payment operations must comply with Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates:

  • Payment service provider regulations

  • Transaction security and fraud prevention standards

  • Consumer protection frameworks


Governance Model

  • Payments Strategy Council

  • Operational Risk & Fraud Committee

  • Technology Performance Review Board

  • Regulatory Compliance Unit


Performance Indicators

  • Payment success rate and transaction reliability

  • Merchant and user adoption growth

  • Processing cost efficiency per transaction

  • Fraud rate reduction

  • System uptime (≥99.99%)


Compensation Structure

  • Executive base salary

  • Performance bonus tied to transaction growth and efficiency

  • Long-term incentives linked to ecosystem expansion


Candidate Profile

  • 15–20+ years in payments, fintech, or banking

  • Strong expertise in payment systems and infrastructure

  • Proven ability to scale transaction platforms
