Role Overview
This role leads the next-generation architecture and long-horizon strategy for the UAE’s evolving digital payments ecosystem. The Senior Digital Payments Strategy Lead will drive multi-layered frameworks involving real-time payment rails, cross-border interoperability, tokenized settlement workflows, and AI-optimized transaction assurance. The position requires exceptional fluency in GCC financial regulations, global payments interoperability standards, and enterprise-grade digital finance engineering.
Key Responsibilities

Architect and execute UAE-aligned national-scale digital payment modernization blueprints, including real-time retail payment rails and API-native payment orchestration layers.

Design multi-rail digital settlement infrastructures integrating ISO 20022, tokenized orchestration engines, and automated compliance response systems.

Oversee cross-border financial flows optimization with GCC, Asian, African, and EU corridors using AI-driven liquidity routing.

Lead regulatory and policy interpretation to ensure frameworks align with UAE Central Bank digital transformation priorities.

Drive distributed teams in developing AI-led fraud intelligence, transaction anomaly mining, and predictive settlement assurance models.

Deliver strategic forecasts and scenario modeling for digital payment market evolution across the UAE and wider GCC region.
Required Qualifications

10+ years in digital payments, open banking, or settlement technologies.

Mastery of ISO 20022, RTP systems, FX liquidity engines, and digital wallet infrastructures.

Proven ability to shape national-level payment strategies or large-scale transformation programs.

Strong understanding of GCC compliance frameworks, cross-border settlement rules, and emerging digital asset-linked payment models.

Exceptional communication, policy interpretation, and strategic governance capabilities.
