Position Overview

This role is designed for an elite fintech architect who can define, engineer, and operationalize next-generation real-time payment infrastructures for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Senior Architect will operate remotely while serving as a strategic force behind the modernization of payment rails, API-driven financial services, and seamless digital-first transaction ecosystems.

The position requires deep mastery of instant payments, open banking interoperability, PSD2/NextGen API frameworks, end-to-end transaction orchestration, and large-scale financial systems engineering. The candidate will design multi-layer architectures that support ultra-low latency routing, automated reconciliation, intelligent fraud analytics, and cross-institutional interoperability.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect real-time payment systems supporting multi-channel transfers, tokenized credentials, merchant integration, and high-throughput clearing.

• Define KSA-aligned open banking frameworks, including API gateway engineering, consent management protocols, and bank–fintech interoperability standards.

• Build scalable transaction analytics engines for fraud detection, behavioral modeling, anomaly scoring, and regulatory monitoring.

• Integrate ISO 20022-native messaging, event-driven microservices, and high-availability cloud deployments.

• Design authentication and identity assurance layers using soft-token, biometric, device-binding, and multi-factor verification models.

• Establish compliance workflows incorporating AML intelligence, KYC automation, sanctions screening, and automated regulatory reporting.

• Lead architectural roadmaps for multi-rail payments, virtual accounts, faster settlement, and cross-border digital transaction corridors.

Required Expertise

• 10+ years in digital payments architecture, real-time systems, or financial technology engineering.

• Advanced experience with ISO 20022, open banking frameworks, and secure API engineering.

• Strong technical proficiency in microservices, container orchestration, distributed systems, and cloud-native deployment.

• Expertise in AML/KYC automation, identity frameworks, and regulatory data intelligence.

• Proven ability to architect enterprise-grade digital transaction systems at scale.
