Position Overview

The Principal Engineer of Institutional Digital Asset Infrastructure is a senior remote role responsible for building Oman-aligned blockchain and digital asset platforms. The position focuses on tokenized asset exchanges, institutional custody systems, atomic settlement engines, and automated regulatory compliance workflows, integrating advanced cryptography, distributed ledger technologies, and high-performance computing to support global digital asset markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deploy secure, scalable institutional digital asset platforms capable of supporting high-frequency trading, custody, and settlement operations.

• Develop smart-contract-based atomic settlement engines and automated liquidity routing mechanisms to optimize transaction speed and reduce counterparty risk.

• Build compliance automation frameworks incorporating AML/KYC verification, transaction monitoring, audit trails, and regulatory reporting in line with Omani and GCC regulations.

• Ensure platform resilience through high-availability architectures, fault-tolerant systems, disaster recovery protocols, and multi-region cloud deployments.

• Integrate advanced cryptographic protocols, key management systems, and secure multi-party computation to safeguard digital asset custody and transaction integrity.

• Lead globally distributed engineering teams of blockchain developers, systems architects, compliance engineers, and quantitative analysts.

• Produce comprehensive documentation including architectural designs, regulatory mapping reports, risk assessments, and technical strategy roadmaps.

Experience Requirements

• 12+ years in blockchain engineering, institutional digital asset infrastructure, or high-performance distributed ledger systems.

• Expertise in cryptographic custody solutions, DLT settlement protocols, atomic transaction design, and compliance automation.

• Knowledge of Oman’s fintech roadmap, GCC digital asset regulations, and international digital finance standards.

• Proven experience in designing scalable, resilient, and secure institutional financial platforms.
