Role Overview
This remote position is designed for a senior-level fintech strategist capable of shaping multi-layered payments infrastructure aligned with the UAE’s advanced digital economy agenda. The role centers on architecting cross-border payment frameworks, designing real-time settlement schemas, and ensuring resilience within globally interconnected digital finance ecosystems. The successful candidate will oversee macro-level design principles, technical governance, and the end-to-end operationalization of next-generation payment rails.
Core Responsibilities

Architect national-scale digital payments frameworks incorporating ISO 20022 messaging, instant payments, CBDC interoperability, and tokenized value exchange models.

Lead the development of high-availability, zero-downtime settlement layers integrating AI-driven orchestration engines, AML automation, and liquidity optimization algorithms.

Formulate advanced regulatory alignment plans based on UAE supervisory expectations in cross-border digital transfers, open banking, data mobility, and consumer-centric authentication standards.

Oversee ecosystems involving PSPs, API aggregators, digital wallets, embedded-finance participants, and regional remittance nodes.

Deliver strategic financial modeling for transaction-volume scalability, throughput optimization, and cross-ledger reconciliation.

Establish resilience frameworks for fraud analytics, cyber-risk intelligence, and end-to-end transaction observability.
Required Expertise

10+ years in digital payments engineering, fintech strategy, or real-time settlement systems.

Demonstrated mastery in RTGS modernization, L2 payment protocols, payment tokenization, and AI-assisted AML typology detection.

Experience integrating digital wallets, open-banking frameworks, and high-throughput transaction systems with multi-regional compliance requirements.

Deep understanding of GCC digital finance trends, UAE fintech policies, and international interoperability standards.
