Role Mandate
This role is designed for a senior fintech architect who operates at the intersection of digital payments engineering, financial market infrastructure, and scalable transaction ecosystems. The Principal Architect will function as a systems authority, shaping how next-generation payment rails, digital wallets, and embedded finance platforms are architected, governed, and evolved across high-growth GCC financial environments.
The position is fully remote, yet strategically aligned with Saudi-centric financial transformation initiatives, cross-border payment corridors, and regional interoperability frameworks.
Core Strategic Responsibilities

Architect end-to-end digital payments ecosystems, spanning card-based networks, account-to-account transfers, instant payment rails, and API-driven payment orchestration layers.

Design high-availability transaction platforms capable of processing large-scale, low-latency financial flows across multiple jurisdictions.

Define architectural standards for settlement, clearing, reconciliation, and dispute resolution systems.

Translate regulatory payment frameworks into technical design blueprints without compromising scalability or performance.

Oversee data flow architecture for real-time transaction monitoring, fraud analytics, and compliance automation.

Collaborate remotely with senior technologists, product strategists, and regulatory advisors across the GCC.
Technical & Domain Expertise

Deep mastery of payments infrastructure, including ISO messaging standards, payment gateways, tokenization frameworks, and transaction routing logic.

Advanced experience designing microservices-based financial systems and event-driven payment architectures.

Strong understanding of banking APIs, open finance models, and embedded payment solutions.

Proven ability to document and communicate complex system architectures to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
