Role Overview
This position serves as the architectural lead for building high-performance API ecosystems and digital integration frameworks tailored to UAE’s advanced fintech environment. The Remote Lead API & Digital Integration Architect will design scalable, secure, and standards-driven integration layers that support open finance, digital identity, cross-platform interoperability, and real-time transaction enablement.
Key Responsibilities

Architect enterprise-grade API platforms including gateway design, authentication layers, service catalogues, rate-limiting logic, and multi-environment deployment models.

Develop standardised integration frameworks supporting open-finance alignment, secure data exchange, partner onboarding, and regulatory compliance.

Conduct performance optimisation for distributed systems, addressing latency, throughput, service-failover logic, and microservice orchestration.

Produce advanced technical artefacts such as integration blueprints, API standards, versioning guides, and environment-specific architecture documentation.

Lead technical alignment with banks, PSPs, identity providers, payment enablers, and fintech operators across the UAE.

Oversee governance of API lifecycle management including testing protocols, quality metrics, security reviews, and dependency tracking.
Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Systems Architecture.

10+ years industry experience with API architectures, distributed systems, or digital integration engineering.

Advanced knowledge of REST/GraphQL standards, identity federation, microservices, cloud-native deployments, and integration security models.

Understanding of the UAE’s digital finance ecosystem and open-finance developments.
