Position: Head of Fintech Strategy – Embedded Finance & ESG Digitalization

About the Role
Oman is uniquely positioned to become a testbed for sustainable, inclusive fintech ecosystems that blend embedded finance, green banking, and Islamic finance innovation. We are seeking a Head of Fintech Strategy to lead the design and orchestration of financial ecosystems embedded into everyday digital journeys—especially those enabling ESG-aligned outcomes through smart financial integrations.
This is a mission-driven leadership opportunity to build financial inclusion and digitally enhance Oman’s growing SMEs and green infrastructure sectors. You will play a critical role in working with the Oman Central Bank’s Fintech Framework, Shariah-compliant accelerators, and ESG innovation labs to deploy human-centric, embedded financial products.
Core Responsibilities

Define and drive Oman’s national fintech embedded strategy in sectors like agritech, transport, logistics, energy, and tourism.

Shape policy, sandbox models, and governance mechanisms in collaboration with the Oman Capital Market Authority and Ministry of Transport, Communications, and IT.

Develop partnerships with neobanks, BNPL providers, and climate tech ventures to co-create embedded finance APIs with built-in ESG reporting.

Champion inclusive UX design for financial access products built for Oman’s underserved and rural populations.

Launch scalable digital finance use cases that integrate AI/ML credit scoring, open banking standards, and ESG metrics.
Ideal Background
-
10–15 years in financial technology, with strong embedded finance or open banking leadership.

Exceptional grasp of ESG finance, impact metrics, and Islamic fintech frameworks.

Track record designing or scaling financial APIs within multi-sector B2B or B2C environments.

Knowledge of Oman’s evolving regulatory and economic diversification plans.

Fluent in English; Arabic highly preferred.
