Role Objective

This role is responsible for embedding risk intelligence directly into fintech systems. The mandate is to design, govern, and operate quantitative risk models, analytical platforms, and automated decision frameworks that actively shape financial behaviour at scale.

It is a role for professionals who believe risk should be engineered, not merely observed.

Primary Accountability Domains

1. Financial Risk Systems

• Credit decision and scoring engines

• Transaction monitoring and anomaly detection

• Exposure aggregation and stress modelling

2. Data & Analytics Platforms

• Financial data ingestion and processing pipelines

• Real-time and batch analytical systems

• Predictive and rule-based decision frameworks

3. Governance & Controls

• Model lifecycle management and validation

• Explainability, traceability, and audit readiness

• Threshold definition, escalation logic, and accountability matrices

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain risk-aware fintech architectures

• Integrate real-time risk scoring into transaction workflows

• Ensure data accuracy, lineage, and interpretability

• Partner with engineering and product teams to enforce control standards

• Maintain comprehensive documentation for oversight and review

Required Competencies

• Strong experience in financial risk, analytics, or fintech intelligence systems

• Proven ability to operationalize models in live production environments

• Deep respect for governance, validation, and documentation

• Calm, structured decision-making under pressure

Ideal Professional Profile

• 8–14 years in fintech risk, analytics, or financial systems governance

• Demonstrated ownership of mission-critical control platforms

• Highly autonomous, disciplined, and effective in remote roles
