Role Overview

Bahrain, as a pioneer of regulatory sandboxes and innovation-driven frameworks, seeks a Global Head of RegTech Strategy & Compliance Intelligence to drive systemic governance transformation. This role will design and implement next-generation compliance infrastructures capable of balancing innovation, transparency, and financial integrity.

The individual will position Bahrain as a global leader in RegTech adoption, orchestrating frameworks that secure fintech ecosystems, enable seamless cross-border compliance, and strengthen the nation’s position in international financial diplomacy.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop AI-driven compliance automation systems for real-time risk detection.

• Establish global-standard digital identity and authentication protocols.

• Define cybersecurity governance models for fintech firms and digital banks.

• Partner with regulators, GCC financial bodies, and international compliance authorities.

• Lead Bahrain’s presence in global AML/KYC innovation networks and RegTech standardization forums.

Candidate Profile

• 12–15 years in financial governance, compliance innovation, or RegTech leadership.

• Strong expertise in AI/ML risk detection, blockchain identity frameworks, and cybersecurity.

• Familiarity with Bahrain’s regulatory ecosystem and global compliance regimes.

• Advanced academic qualifications in Law, Risk Engineering, or Digital Finance Governance.
