Role Overview

The Global Head of Digital Payment Rails & Interoperability Engineering will lead the next generation of Saudi Arabia–aligned digital payment frameworks, including high-throughput settlement rails, ISO 20022-native transaction engines, and globally scalable interoperability layers. This role requires mastery of payment switching architectures, multi-rail orchestration, AI-based settlement assurance, and sovereign-scale digital finance modernization. The successful candidate will architect long-horizon infrastructure models supporting regional and international financial integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design Saudi-focused real-time digital payment rails, integrating multi-rail routing, hybrid settlement protocols, and high-speed clearing engines.

• Build cross-border interoperability frameworks linking GCC, Asian, European, and African payment ecosystems through tokenized and non-tokenized pathways.

• Engineer AI-enhanced fraud intelligence systems for anomaly scoring, behavioral graph analytics, and dynamic risk-based authentication.

• Develop payment observability and performance analytics pipelines with enterprise-grade resiliency monitoring.

• Oversee architecture governance, engineering standards, and infrastructure modernization roadmaps.

• Provide policy and regulatory interpretation ensuring compliance with Saudi digital finance directives and global settlement governance.

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years in digital payments engineering, clearing systems, or settlement infrastructure design.

• Mastery of ISO 20022, RTP systems, digital ID frameworks, and financial messaging interoperability.

• Proven leadership in building national or enterprise-level payment systems.

• Strong grounding in GCC compliance structures and global settlement policy models.

Preferred Competencies

• Expertise in tokenized FX settlement, multi-rail orchestration, and AI-driven routing optimization.
