Role Overview
This role is designed for a senior fintech engineer responsible for designing, building, and sustaining the core systems that move and record money. The focus is on transaction processing, payment orchestration, and ledger-aware services built to global standards of accuracy, resilience, and auditability.
The position is deeply technical and suited to professionals who understand that financial platforms must prioritize correctness, consistency, and reliability over speed alone.
Key Responsibilities

Design and develop backend services for payments, balances, and transaction processing

Implement complete transaction lifecycles including initiation, authorization, posting, settlement, and reconciliation

Build API-driven financial services that integrate securely with internal and external platforms

Ensure data consistency across ledgers, reporting views, and downstream consumers

Design systems for high availability, fault tolerance, and graceful degradation

Participate in architectural decision-making and long-term platform evolution

Collaborate with product, data, and risk specialists to translate financial rules into robust software
Technical Requirements

Strong experience with distributed systems and microservices architectures

Proficiency in backend development for high-availability systems

Solid understanding of financial transaction flows and ledger concepts

Experience with API design, versioning, and documentation

Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerization, and CI/CD practices

High standards for testing, observability, and technical documentation
Professional Profile

7–12 years of experience in fintech or financial systems engineering

Proven delivery of production-grade financial platforms

Comfortable working remotely across time zones

Detail-oriented, methodical, and accountable for system outcomes
