Role Summary

The Executive Director will architect next-generation digital payment systems and intelligent transaction infrastructure engineered for the UAE’s global-scale financial ecosystem. This position leads the strategic design of high-throughput payment pathways, predictive transaction-intelligence layers, and cloud-native microservice frameworks capable of supporting millions of secure, instant, multi-rail transactions per second. The role integrates financial engineering, platform strategy, data intelligence, and regulatory alignment to enable the UAE’s advancement toward a fully digital, globally interoperable financial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop high-performance digital payment infrastructures that support instant settlement, real-time routing, and multilayered financial orchestration.

• Architect payment-intelligence systems leveraging behavioural analytics, pattern recognition, and anti-fraud engines optimized for large-scale financial flows.

• Create UAE-aligned enterprise architecture blueprints incorporating service meshes, distributed event processing, and multi-cloud deployment patterns.

• Standardize cross-border payment corridors integrating ISO 20022, regional real-time settlement schemes, and intelligent regulatory compliance modules.

• Lead modernization of API-first payment ecosystems supporting secure authentication, tokenization, and multi-factor transaction integrity.

• Design financial observability frameworks enabling real-time monitoring, root-cause diagnostics, and predictive resilience analytics.

• Collaborate with ecosystem stakeholders—including banks, payment providers, and fintech regulators—to align design decisions with national digital finance objectives.

Requirements

• 12+ years in digital payments architecture, financial systems engineering, or enterprise financial technology strategy.

• Deep proficiency in high-throughput transaction systems, ISO 20022 frameworks, instant payment architectures, and cloud-native financial microservices.

• Strong understanding of UAE financial regulations, payments oversight mechanisms, and digital-transformation priorities.

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Financial Technology, or Financial Engineering.
