Role Mandate
This role represents a senior, system-defining leadership position within the fintech ecosystem, focused on the architectural design, governance, and evolution of national-scale digital payments and transaction processing platforms. The Executive Director will operate at the intersection of financial engineering, regulatory-grade resilience, distributed systems, and real-time payment orchestration, shaping infrastructures capable of handling high-velocity, high-value transaction environments.
The position is designed for a fintech leader with deep exposure to payment rails, clearing and settlement frameworks, API-driven ecosystems, and cross-border transaction models, capable of translating macro-level financial strategy into technically executable platforms.
Core Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end design of large-scale digital payment infrastructures, including real-time payments, instant settlement layers, and multi-currency transaction routing.

Establish technology governance frameworks covering uptime guarantees, transaction integrity, data sovereignty, and platform scalability.

Direct the integration of next-generation payment protocols, tokenized settlement mechanisms, and programmable money use cases.

Oversee platform interoperability strategies, ensuring seamless connectivity with banks, fintech providers, merchants, and international networks.

Define performance, resilience, and fault-tolerance benchmarks aligned with global financial infrastructure standards.

Act as the senior authority on transaction risk, latency optimization, and systemic resilience.
Required Expertise

15+ years in fintech, payments engineering, or financial infrastructure leadership.

Demonstrated experience designing or governing large-scale payment platforms.

Deep technical understanding of real-time payment systems, ISO-based messaging standards, API architectures, and settlement logic.

Strong command of fintech risk frameworks, platform security, and transaction lifecycle management.

Proven ability to operate at executive, regulatory, and technical leadership levels simultaneously.
Compensation Structure (Saudi Arabia)

Base Salary: SAR 55,000 – 75,000 per month

Annual Performance Incentive: 25% – 40% of base salary
