Position Overview
The UAE is rapidly cementing itself as a global hub for digital finance and cross-border payment innovation. This role is designed for a high-caliber fintech leader who can conceptualize, architect, and implement cutting-edge payment ecosystems spanning mobile wallets, instant transfers, CBDC integrations, and real-time settlement layers. The Director will act as a key strategist, ensuring interoperability between domestic infrastructures and international rails while aligning with evolving global standards such as ISO 20022, AMLD5/6, and FATF directives.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and execution of next-generation digital payment products for the GCC and international corridors.

Drive interoperability between domestic instant payment platforms and cross-border settlement systems.

Establish frameworks for digital identity integration, KYC orchestration, and fraud prevention using AI and machine learning.

Oversee tokenization strategies, including stablecoin payment mechanisms and CBDC testbed programs.

Collaborate with regulators, international standard-setting bodies, and fintech consortiums to shape cross-border policy frameworks.

Deliver forward-looking roadmaps addressing financial inclusion, real-time settlement, and frictionless commerce in a digital-first economy.
Qualifications

12+ years’ leadership experience in digital payments, banking technology, or fintech innovation.

Deep understanding of ISO 20022, EMV standards, open banking APIs, and CBDC frameworks.

Proven track record in launching multi-market payment platforms or global fintech products.

Expertise in blockchain-based settlement, digital wallets, and AI-driven fraud analytics.

Strong familiarity with GCC payment infrastructures, remittance corridors, and global compliance mandates.
