This senior role is designed for a Director of Digital Payments & Embedded Finance Strategy, who will craft innovative, scalable, and compliant payment ecosystems that integrate multi-rail payments, open banking, and embedded finance across industries.

The successful candidate will oversee the creation of API-driven, developer-friendly frameworks that power both consumer and enterprise adoption, ensuring that Qatar emerges as a regional fintech hub for digital commerce.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of multi-channel, cross-border payment systems with instant settlement capabilities.

• Develop embedded finance solutions enabling seamless integration into healthcare, energy, retail, and logistics.

• Oversee implementation of open banking APIs ensuring secure and scalable interoperability.

• Deploy AI-driven fraud detection, identity verification, and transaction intelligence frameworks.

• Collaborate with Qatar’s regulators and regional partners to harmonize fintech adoption standards.

• Represent Qatar’s digital payments strategy at global fintech and cross-border commerce forums.

Candidate Profile

• 10+ years in digital payments architecture, open banking, or embedded finance leadership.

• Deep technical knowledge of multi-rail payments, API banking, and financial intelligence systems.

• Proven history of scaling fintech ecosystems across multiple sectors.

• Familiarity with Qatar’s central banking and regional fintech alignment initiatives.

• Advanced qualifications in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Digital Finance.
