Role Summary

The Director of Digital Identity & Financial Access Infrastructure will design and manage Kuwait-aligned identity frameworks enabling secure onboarding, multi-factor authentication, privacy-compliant biometrics, advanced verification layers, and frictionless access to digital financial services. The role integrates regulatory-backed identity protocols with fintech-ready biometric security to support a new generation of secure, scalable digital financial ecosystems.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead the design of digital identity layers incorporating biometrics, cryptographic credentialing, device-binding, and adaptive authentication.

• Build privacy-preserving biometric pipelines utilizing liveness detection, multi-modal biometrics, distributed verification nodes, and encrypted identity vaults.

• Define API-based identity orchestration frameworks for financial institutions, enabling seamless onboarding, verification, and continuous identity assurance.

• Implement fraud-defense mechanisms using behavioural biometrics, anomaly detection, device intelligence, and identity threat-modelling.

• Develop regulatory-aligned identity governance standards supporting cross-institution interoperability and consent-driven data access.

• Integrate digital identity solutions into digital banking, payments, financial wallets, and fintech platforms across Kuwait’s digital landscape.

• Lead security hardening initiatives, cryptographic lifecycle management, and high-assurance identity protection strategies.

Requirements

• 10+ years in digital identity engineering, biometric security, or fintech authentication systems.

• Expertise in identity protocols, cryptography, MFA architectures, and biometric verification frameworks.

• Strong understanding of Kuwait’s digital-regulatory environment and financial data governance standards.

• Advanced degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or Financial Technology.
