Role Summary
The Director of Cross-Border Digital Payments Infrastructure will guide the architecture and optimization of UAE-aligned global transaction corridors, high-throughput settlement mechanisms, and multi-currency financial routing engines. This role orchestrates the technical, regulatory, and operational frameworks powering next-generation cross-border payments, with emphasis on speed, reliability, transparency, interoperability, and international financial compliance.
Core Responsibilities

Design end-to-end multi-rail global payment flows integrating SWIFT ISO 20022, instant settlement systems, card-network rails, and regional cross-border frameworks.

Build low-latency settlement architectures capable of supporting large-scale multi-currency, multi-jurisdictional financial traffic.

Formalize AML/CFT-aligned compliance automation layers with dynamic risk scoring, behavioural transaction mapping, and real-time rule-engine orchestration.

Develop interbank orchestration engines utilizing event-driven microservices, secure API gateways, and distributed coordination models.

Lead modernization of payment intelligence layers enabling real-time reconciliation, liquidity management, treasury optimization, and settlement-risk visibility.

Align global transactions with UAE’s digital economy agenda, regulatory compliance structure, and advanced financial infrastructure programs.

Direct multi-geography integration programs bridging fintech, banking, settlement institutions, and international financial networks.
Qualifications

8–12+ years in digital payments, global transaction systems, or settlement infrastructure engineering.

Expert knowledge of cross-border payments, ISO 20022 migration, instant payment platforms, and large-scale financial routing.

Deep understanding of UAE payments oversight, data governance, and international compliance frameworks.

Graduate or postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, or Financial Engineering.
