Job Overview

We’re seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and compliant cloud infrastructures tailored for fintech applications. This role is critical in driving the architecture strategy for cloud-native financial platforms that handle sensitive data, meet stringent regulatory requirements, and support rapid innovation. You will work closely with engineering, security, compliance, and product teams to translate business needs into resilient cloud solutions that optimize performance and cost-efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect end-to-end cloud solutions for fintech platforms with a focus on security, compliance (PCI DSS, GDPR, SOC 2), and high availability.

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to design microservices architectures, container orchestration, and serverless components that support financial transaction workflows.

• Define and enforce cloud governance policies and infrastructure-as-code standards to maintain consistency and traceability.

• Lead cloud migration projects for legacy financial systems, ensuring zero downtime and data integrity.

• Conduct threat modeling and security reviews specific to financial data and transaction processing in the cloud.

• Partner with DevOps to automate deployment pipelines and continuous monitoring for uptime and anomaly detection.

• Evaluate emerging cloud services and fintech tools, advising on integration strategies and cost optimization.

• Serve as a technical advisor on regulatory audits and cloud security certifications relevant to fintech.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

• 7+ years of experience designing and deploying cloud architectures with a minimum 4 years focused on fintech or highly regulated financial environments.

• Deep expertise in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform with hands-on experience in cloud-native security controls, networking, and compliance frameworks.

• Proven track record architecting distributed systems for financial transaction processing, including familiarity with payment gateways, KYC/AML workflows, or blockchain infrastructure.

• Strong command of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.

• Experience with container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift) and serverless computing in production environments.

• Solid understanding of fintech compliance standards and ability to design architectures that meet regulatory audit requirements.

• Proficient in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) for automation and cloud integrations.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for cross-functional stakeholders.

Preferred:

• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP).

• Experience working in agile environments with continuous delivery pipelines.

• Familiarity with financial data encryption standards and hardware security modules (HSM).
