Job Overview

We are seeking a Cloud Solution Architect with deep expertise in fintech environments to design, develop, and implement scalable, secure, and compliant cloud solutions tailored to the fast-evolving financial technology sector. This role demands a strategic thinker who understands both the unique regulatory landscape of fintech and the technical demands of cloud infrastructure. You will lead cloud architecture initiatives that support digital banking, payments, trading platforms, or blockchain applications, ensuring high availability, robust security, and seamless integration with legacy financial systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and deliver end-to-end cloud solutions specific to fintech needs, including microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures, and serverless technologies.

• Design secure cloud environments compliant with financial regulations such as PCI-DSS, GDPR, SOC 2, and local financial authorities’ guidelines.

• Collaborate closely with product owners, cybersecurity teams, compliance officers, and developers to ensure architecture meets business, security, and operational requirements.

• Lead cloud migration strategies from on-premises or hybrid setups to public or private clouds, minimizing downtime and operational risks.

• Evaluate, select, and integrate fintech-specific cloud services and third-party providers (KYC, fraud detection, payment gateways).

• Define best practices for cloud governance, cost optimization, disaster recovery, and incident management in a fintech context.

• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to engineering teams on cloud-native development and infrastructure automation (IaC).

• Stay ahead of fintech technology trends and regulatory changes affecting cloud architecture decisions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.

• Minimum 7 years of experience architecting cloud solutions, with at least 3 years focused on fintech or financial services.

• Hands-on expertise with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and fintech-relevant services (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Blockchain, GCP BigQuery).

• Strong knowledge of fintech regulatory frameworks and experience embedding compliance controls into cloud architecture.

• Proficient in container orchestration (Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).

• Deep understanding of security principles, including identity and access management, encryption, key management, and threat modeling in cloud environments.

• Proven track record in designing high-availability, low-latency systems for real-time financial transactions or analytics.

• Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex technical solutions into clear business value for fintech stakeholders.

• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Certified Cloud Security Professional, or equivalent) are a strong plus.
